Yet there are truths today that many people are choosing to ignore because they do not want to see or understand them. #2 The world is already nightmarish for many humans and animals, and it is possible that we will look back on these times as being exceptionally privileged. Right now, people such as you and me don’t have to spend much of our time searching for food and water. We should make the most of this privilege. #3 I have come to the conclusion that this civilization is going down. It will not last because it shows no sign of taking the extreme climate crisis seriously. It will not achieve the Paris climate accord goals, and that means that we will most likely see 3-4 degrees of global over-heat at a minimum. #4 The third option is the least likely, but it is also the most desirable. It involves a radical transformation of this civilisation, which would no longer be recognizable as such.
