The Art of Seeing

The Art of Seeing

de Aldous Huxley (Auteur)

The author, nearly blind at the age of 16 from an attack of punctate keratitis, lived until 1939 with very poor vision. It was then that he discovered the method of Doctor W. H. Bates, a method of visual rehabilitation with a psychological basis, which allowed him in a few months to read without glasses. Out of gratitude to this pioneer of visual education, Huxley wrote The Art of Seeing. He explains the method of Dr. Bates by bringing it closer to the great discoveries of modern psychology.

Companion volume to Bates' The Cure of Imperfect Sight by Treatment Without Glasses.

Huxley's experience of dealing with and curing his bad eyesight with the help of The Bates Method.
